Bob Heffernan 5k – Tuesday 22nd May

There was a great turnout from Lucan Harriers at the annual Bob Heffernan 5k held in Johnstown Bridge near Enfield.  It was a glorious sunny evening and the Club supporters enjoyed the balmy weather with some ice cream!  It’s a race known for being a fast one and the organisers were delighted when their course time was beaten by winner Hiko Tonosa who set a new course record of 14.18.

First Lucan Harrier home was Patrick O’Donoghue in a time of 16.49 in 36th place.   First Lucan lady home, and 17th lady home, was Katie Maher in a time of 19.20.   Also running her first race representing the Club was Neasa Ní Dhoibhilin who finished in 30.47.
