Lucan Harries Club Gear.
Our club colours are red and black. Our singlet and tee-shirt are red with a black stripe going across the body from the opposite shoulder, showing the distinctive club crest, with Lucan Harriers written on the back. All members are requested to wear club colours when racing.
As well as the club singlet & tee-shirt for racing, we have a wide range of gear available to compliment your running wardrobe, whether you are training or racing. There are hoodies, polo shirts, dri-fit tee long sleeve tops & backpacks.
A number of times a year, our gear manager takes orders, which will be highlighted well in advance.
Dublin Masters Cross Country Championships – Sunday 7th January
Lucan Harriers was at the Dublin Masters Cross Country Championships which was held in St. Anne's Park, Raheny on Sunday 7th January. The course was a two lap course for the ladies race run over 3,000m through the wooded area of the park. We had some very strong performances from our 5 Ladies.
Niamh Fitzgerald led the Lucan ladies home finishing 3rd overall, and won the silver medal in the F40 age category in a time of 12.26. Next home for Lucan was Lorraine Heffernan who crossed the finish line in a time of 14.11 earning her 5th place in the F45 age category and she was closely followed by Hilary McGee who finished in 14.14. Next home was Kathleen Trunk in a time of 15.25 and Eileen O'Brien who finished in a time of 18.08 which earned her the bronze medal in her age category.
The Lucan Harriers team of Niamh, Lorraine, Hilary and Kathleen were 9th in the W35 Team Competition.
Lucan was represented at the Irish Life Health XC Championships held in Waterford on Sunday 17th December 2017 by 5 girls competing in the U-11 competition.
In a very tight finish Saoirse Fitzgerald won the silver medal. The Club was also represented by represented by Alison Bracken, Isobel Cuffe, Niamh Lamon and Sadhbh Ní Bhuacalla and they finished 11th in the Club Team Competition. Isobel, Sadhbh and Saoirse were also members of the Dublin team which finished first in the County Team Competition and second in the Provincial team competition.
The Goal Mile will be hosted by Lucan Harriers at the track on the Newcastle Road (opposite Supervalu) on Christmas Day from 10am to 12pm. All are welcome to join us to walk, jog or run a mile and make a donation to Goal who do such great work with the poorest and most vulnerable around the world.

The Athlete of the Year presentation was made on Thursday 14th December. The three recipients were praised for representing the Club with pride throughout the year and for going above and beyond to help others within the Club.
