Lucan Harries Club Gear.
Our club colours are red and black. Our singlet and tee-shirt are red with a black stripe going across the body from the opposite shoulder, showing the distinctive club crest, with Lucan Harriers written on the back. All members are requested to wear club colours when racing.
As well as the club singlet & tee-shirt for racing, we have a wide range of gear available to compliment your running wardrobe, whether you are training or racing. There are hoodies, polo shirts, dri-fit tee long sleeve tops & backpacks.
A number of times a year, our gear manager takes orders, which will be highlighted well in advance.
The annual Lucan Harriers Club Championships are held every June over a 5k route in Griffeen Park and over two weeks.
Race 1 is a scratch race will all runners starting together and the second race being run with runners starting in reverse order based on their finishing times in Race 1.
Race 1 was held on Thursday 21st June in perfect conditions and there were strong runs by all athletes.
The Race, and Club Championship Title, was won by Barry Aherne with the Ladies race won by Breda Smyth. Second in the Men's Race was Alex O'Brien with PJ Hyland in third. Sarah Byrne was second lady home with Emer McCarthy third to finish. Special mention goes to Ursula Murphy who achieved a 5k pb and first fit4life athlete home was Helen McGinnity Gleeson.

Bob Heffernan 5k – Tuesday 22nd May
There was a great turnout from Lucan Harriers at the annual Bob Heffernan 5k held in Johnstown Bridge near Enfield. It was a glorious sunny evening and the Club supporters enjoyed the balmy weather with some ice cream! It’s a race known for being a fast one and the organisers were delighted when their course time was beaten by winner Hiko Tonosa who set a new course record of 14.18.
First Lucan Harrier home was Patrick O’Donoghue in a time of 16.49 in 36th place. First Lucan lady home, and 17th lady home, was Katie Maher in a time of 19.20. Also running her first race representing the Club was Neasa Ní Dhoibhilin who finished in 30.47.
