Jingle Bells 5k - Saturday 2nd Dec
Lucan Harriers headed to the Pheonix Park for the very popular annual Jingle Bells 5k organised by Donore Harriers. First home for Lucan was John Canny who finished in 16.44 and he was followed by Dylan Wright in 17.20, Liber Matousek in 17.30, Daniel McCann in 17.44, Alex O'Brien in 18.08, Ciaran Porter in 20.23, David Trunk in 20.26 and Brian Beatle in 20.43. First Lucan lady home was Breda Smyth in a time of 20.56 followed by Lorraine Heffernan in 21.00, Tricia Gough in 21.11, Kathleen Trunk in 21.47, Hilary McGee in 22.11, Bernie Grant in 22.48, Caroline Norman in 23.07, Ann Whelan in 23.15, Laura McAteer in 23.49, Sarah O'Donnell in 24.01, Ursula Eaton in 25.06, Sarah Hughes in 25.53, Fiona Hegarty in 26.37, Fiona McGovern in 27.11, Aisling Morris in 27.26, Mary Keohane in 26.53, Anne Smith in 27.43, Anne McGrane in 28.36, Eileen Quirke in 28.10, Winifred Ryan in 29.32 and Edel Smyth in 31.25
The Lucan Harrier & Athletics Club website has been revamped and has gone live.
Lucan Harrier & Athletics Club AGM was held on Thursday 26th October 2017 at the Lucan Spa Hotel.

There was a great turnout of 19 Lucan Harriers at the SSE Airtricity Dublin Marathon on Sunday 29th October. It was a beautiful day, Dublin looked great and the support around the course was amazing.
Rory Thompson led the Lucan Harriers team home in a sub 3 hour marathon with a time of 2.59.06. He was closely followed by PJ Hyland completing his first marathon in a time of 3.00.49. Next in was Will Byrne in 3.09.33 followed by Libor Matousek in 3.21.38, Gerry Byrne in 3.27.04, Michael Lee in 3.36.00 and Rob Brannigan in 3.39.09.
First Lucan Lady home and 2nd in her age category in the Irish National Marathon Championships was Eileen O’Brien in 3.53.49. She was followed by Danijela Klopotan in 3.57.56, Tricia Gough in 3.59.01, Niall Cadogan in 4.01.02, Jana Rakociova in 4.01.34, Keith Gallagher in 4.24.31, Aisling Morris in 4.45.27, Anita Hughes in her first marathon finished in 5.39.52, Vivienne Pierce in 5.47.39, Maria Donoghue in 6.14.45, Tom Meade in 6.26.08 and Fanchea Gibson in 6.49.29.
The Club was also well represented as volunteers with members of the Club marshaling the course from Phoenix Park to Chapelizod and Kilmainham and helping out at Bag Drop.
