The Track Development Committee “TDC” (a sub-committeee of the main Lucan Harriers Committee) was put together in October 2022 with the aim of developing and maintaining our track and the facilities available to us as a club.

You may have seen over the past year that we now have:

• A new throwing cage (which was installed prior to TDC being created) 

• A new shot put circle, 

• New pole vault equipment and runup, 

• New Lap Counter 

• New Winners Podium

• Weatherproofing installed on our long jumps

• More training & competition equipment available in our shed.

• A new roller door fitted, exiting from the clubhouse to the track 

• A new Lucan Harriers sign, facing the carpark. 

We have also been tasked with working with our friends in South Dublin County Council on the next stages of development for the club and  our facilities.

This piece of work will include:

Installation of a new surface for the D and C Areas (currently gravel) 

A new javelin runup

And other major (and minor!) improvements to our facilities.
